Complete booking form filling out all categories.
Send to MCS via email, fax or post. MCS will then contact you and confirm information.
Send copy of A4 house plan with outlets marked if available by builder. MCS will then liase with your builder to organise best time for installation to take place. Please remember on booking form to fill out Drive Way section if it is being provided by builder or being provided by the owner. We must install conduit before driveway is installed.
Call service provider for final connection.
The ins and outs of a telephone connection
Network providers have telephone services running past your property. We need to identify the network and connect to that network through conduit. Once the conduit has been installed via a trench we can then run a cable through the conduit to your house. We then install a connection box on the outside of the house. This connection box must have 24hr access to the service provider.
The next step is to run what we call a pre wire form the connection box on the outside of the house to telephone outlet(s). This must happen before plaster has been installed. Once plaster has been installed MCS will return and fit outlet(s), and test for Soft Dial Tone. Soft Dial Tone means that you will have dial tone on your telephone when you shift into your property but you cannot make any calls at this stage.
When you are at this stage MCS will contact you and give you the current connection telephone number of the network provider to book your final connection. MCS can only provide Soft Dial Tone to your connection if the network in your area is capable. If there is a network shortfall MCS will notify network provider at the earliest possible point to enable services to be installed at your property. (Best to book your job as early as you can).
